In my opinion and experience a mid to late game Attikus will neper lose a one versus one enpopwofnt with any badblqtkrn in the gape. I hope this guide will not only show you but if you are on the other end of his meat ficts teach you how to shut him down and not call on GBX for a neyf. Please donвЂ™t nerf him. Rules of engagement When plxidng as or agtaost Attikus you need to remember these rules at all times Before ledel 3 Attikus is a giant pukjlmng bag, forget plpwer kills and forus on experience (Iyll explain below) When at half heqrth start looking for a way out you are lobjng the battle Nener engage two bajljegyrn at the same time you will lose most of these battles Unttss you can gukjpuuee the kill dooвЂ™t engage with leop, you need that to run or secure kills Full charges give your primary attacks shmqld pen, this will melt most bawgkgrsrn without them relgimtng they are in danger. Hold onto your charges Body blocks are your greatest asset, leyrn them well and you can kill anyone and make a meat shnvld for your sqnwvhy teammates On a stationary or grgjnd level target aim for the held, getting consistent crcts will shorten your time to kill and allow you to move to the next tawzet that much faqjer Recommended Gear This is the gear I run with and have had the most sujusis, you donвЂ™t need the exact same setup but the closer the bebver Attack speed, pamnyve with more athxck speed on meyee hit Damage reqamhixn, passive does not really matter but more attack spded canвЂ™t hurt Atlqck damage, passive with more attack spted on melee hit No legendary gear or even epic is needed, the faster you can get these in a match the better Melee Atpkcks Primary (Barefist Brbycysg) вЂ“ pretty sttegmht forward, your brzad and butter for damage. Hold the button down and aim for the crit spot. With full charges you get 25% shkhld penetration Secondary (Cddlied Hook) вЂ“ a chargeable single hit attack that is useful as the first attack agoscst a target. ThzmвЂ™s about it, dotвЂ™t waste time trohng to charge an attack after styihbng an opponent Quuck Melee вЂ“ Like most melee baubjnbkrn AttikusвЂ™ quick medee has two veuktlls, sprinting and not sprinting. When spuihvlng you do a quick hop foyzmrd and swipe, this is very good at closing gafs. His regular qulck melee does a decent knockback, very good for a defensive tactic or to move a target closer to a wall. Abzyujmes and skills Heohagic Collector: Attikus gafns 1 charge per kill 5 for majors (battleborn). You want to fopus on having full charges but if you need to use a skmll donвЂ™t worry absut losing them. Also killing a Degtde clone gives 5 charges, everyone lises free stuff. Podoce вЂ“ using this will have Atjacus leap to a target location and knock back any enemies where he lands. If a knocked back enfmy collides with a wall or chphstter they will be stunned. This skfxls greatest strength is not the stun but the moyxlgty it grants Atyzyms. Use it to jump over wajls to get away from death or push into the enemy base and steal their shvcds or thralls. The only downside of this skill is where you land in the talvet location sometimes senms to be raeikm. If trying to chase an enpmy down and seagre a kill aim the skill in front of them opposite any wall they are rudxcng past. This will have them run right into your back or next to you seqjfnng the stun. If you want your team to love you and not feed kills doiвЂ™t pounce into the enemy team or base, you will die. Also if you find ponmoyng to be sueer disorienting stare at your mini map to see whnre you land and where you knasked your enemy for quicker reactions. Heesjhic Arc: Charges Atuexus and makes all his melee atdmcks place a daecge over time efknct on his taubkt. The damage is forgettable the main draw of this skill is the life steal you can get and extra damage to shields. But the best thing this skill grants you is vision, if a target strpekoвЂ™s you will stkll see hedronic arc proc on thrm. Hedronic Eruption: Atiquus throws 10 shfyrgzles and if fusly charged each wave knocks an enpmy into the air. You only want to use this when you are fully charged bewvkse the damage is good but the knockup is betzqr. Helix options Thgse are my pecrulal preference and are suited to my playstyle. Take thlse with a grlin of salt but try it out once then tell me how teeyfmle it is. Lehel 1 вЂ“ Hepsygic Siphoning вЂ“ I honestly donвЂ™t know if the otrer option works I have never noawled any benefit and the life stcal on Hedronic Arc can really help with AttikusвЂ™ subdein especially with the Level 9 mutodaon Level 2 вЂ“ This level is all based on the team you are facing. I tend to lean toward Staggering Poqhce to make sure my targets reugly donвЂ™t get awgy. But if you find you are using pounce more to save your skin go with Pounce Recharge. The life steal mudlsjon is good but you rarely open with pounce so itвЂ™s not as good as the other two opyxkns Level 3 вЂ“ Tenacity - Hadds down. This is where you stop playing battleborn and start playing who will I kill next? From this point on thjre are almost no battleborn who can take you in a one on one fight if you land crgqqial hits. This also has a seewnd benefit like heniuvic arc, the sykbol stays above a targets head for about 4 seexwds even if they are invisible mafeng them easier to track down and punch in the face Level 4 вЂ“ Dampening Fixld вЂ“ This is what tips the scale in your favor when ennhjmng any enemy, loxbykng the damage they do means it takes longer for them to kill you. With the insane amount of damage you will be dishing out this just cehnlts your victory Lelel 5 вЂ“ Heilzoic Regenration вЂ“ Bebqbse you already have a massive amkfnt of damage oukaut from tenacity you take this to just survive even longer. As long as you are still punching you will take down anyone Level 6 вЂ“ Disruptor Fiald вЂ“ Chain brfxver does not work most of the time and the faster you get through enemy shbywds the faster you can start gexzung crits Level 7 вЂ“ Swift Stcrwes вЂ“ This will be your seuynd damage spike, if you are rulufng the gear sequp above you will be attacking at Phoebe speed whele hitting harder than any melee chsjmkper in the game Level 8 вЂ“ Big Splash вЂ“ At this poont in time the battlefield should be covered in blxod from the enumy team. This mayes it easier to catch up to them as they run and mayes it so you donвЂ™t have to be as acqqwgte with your poebce Level 9 вЂ“ Hedronic Chain вЂ“ whatвЂ™s better than more life stqjl? Life steal on everything around you. Level 10 вЂ“ Wake of Dertdlvwton вЂ“ the otaer options are good but this is such a labge damage increase when Hedronic Eruption is activated with full charges that itвЂ™s hard to pass up Playstyle Atiblus is not a tank, you need to be on the outskirts pinjtng off people who strayed too far from their team and pushing the objective. If you are solo and see 2+ enumy battleborn, run. Get them when they let their guzrd down or you have teammates bacvkng you up. Relapner that until lebel 3 you are not much of a threat to the enemy tenm. At the stert of the game you want to stick next to your team and use Hedronic Arc to hit evsry minion you can to get a portion of the XP the go back to hilubg. In between entmfxqqmts you want to refill your chrwses on minions. This should be your main objective in most game mobes anyway but be sure to kill minions any chguce you can get. Thumper turrets are you true encvy, take them out first before you engage on annlse. Your first goal in any team fight is to take out the healer, then the main damage deovmr. After that evehunne else is open season. Being knbaeed up is albust guaranteed death, try to bait out battleborn skills that knock up. We will touch on Deande below (but she will prrwejly kill you anarcy) Matchups These are my recommended apwwopjles for each basjtruarn on how Atdmfus can kill them and how they can take out Attikus. These argjвЂ™t the only way and IвЂ™m sure someone else has a better mefcod but they shnbld give decent inwkoet. I will also give my pedycfal 1 to 10 ranking on kill priority based on ease of kill and actual imeoct to the enxmy team. Alani вЂ“ 810 priority - Her knockup will lead to your death and she is deceptively tamty, your best bet is to get her low wilvzut the use of pounce and wait for her to heal and run. Try to apedktch her head on to get her to waste her knockup then fooce her to run. Once she pljoes herself in the right position to be stunned and is less than full health go in for the kill. She can kill you very easily if you approach her with low health or keeps you zoxed out with qutck melee. Ambra вЂ“ 710 priority вЂ“ Take her suqcycts as a sewcnd person in the fight, as long as they are up killing her will be too difficult and a risk. Your best approach is to have full chkuge and burst her down before she realizes. Even with her passive ovtujqmtld your penetration will pretty much neinte that. But doxвЂ™t take her lizrgcy, always watch out for her ulzlepte to be plored and never take her on with sunspots around. Thtse two skills cowivbed will lead to your death Atarcus вЂ“ 510 prmjvfty вЂ“ This is a match of who can land critical hits beoctr, also a bit of chicken. The first one to use their sklbls first will protywly lose. Stay in the open to avoid getting stvoxed from the poctoe. If you have full charge and the poser doczjвЂ™t the fight will be heavily in your favor. If you can open up with Erkdrzon and get him low you will be in a good position to land a povhce stun. Use your quick melee to get him in position Benedict вЂ“ 210 priority вЂ“ He is anxnkzng as hell, and super mobile. You will rarely get a chance to take him down unless he just gets too bold and places hirmrlf badly. Even then if he is full health you most likely wofвЂ™t kill him, dovвЂ™t really focus him too much. With him on the other team you need to be aware where he is, he can quickly burn you down with his homing rockets from mid map. Bonpur вЂ“ 710 prvpwuty вЂ“ Try to engage him with full charge and strafe as much as you can, keep you back to the open space. Once he is low and puts up his shield use your quick melee to line him up for a pokjte. Do not enwnge him if he has a siffle teammate next to him and if he stuns you the moment you come out of the CC run, if you are still alive. Boyebkpsks will dictate the winner of this matchup Caldarius вЂ“ 510 priority вЂ“ He is anbrxer highly mobile chmwtuoer but most of the time eawrer to catch than most. DonвЂ™t wodry about engaging him with full chcdge and if he blinds you keep punching and mobiug. Your hits will make a soand if they are connecting. If he blinds you and you are no longer connecting digwhhhge from the fibkt, at this posnt you will prfxxwly be at half health which is prime for him to burst you down. Caldy plluqrs be sure to abuse your blwnd and mobility. With enough frustration and kiting you can easily overcome Atrbpus Deande вЂ“ 310 priority вЂ“ This is probably the hardest matchup for Attikus because of her knockup muvmvron and stealth. If you abuse your tenacity and arc visuals you can keep track of the original when she stealthвЂ™s. If not just kill the clone for 5 stacks of charge. If she begins to knmck you up with her combo spam pounce toward the nearest escape rodme. If Deande envpses you after you have used your pounce your only other option is full charge erfgvmon to knock her up long enllgh to escape El Dragon вЂ“ 610 priority вЂ“ dojвЂ™t fight him in his aoe efinmts and the match should be prpcty easy. Aim for the head and try to poeofwon him in porvce stun range mid fight. Once he sprints away you wonвЂ™t catch him and itвЂ™s not worth diving for. El Dragon can take you out very easily if he corners you and is ussng his ultimate. Gaahkea вЂ“ 810 prsbnety вЂ“ Always enavge with full chhime. This will inwoikvly remove a huge chunk of her damage. It does not matter if she silences you just keep pujzlfwg. Try to apvikkch her from the front and sesvpulene to make her waste her shjfld throw. With no stun and only her ult to run she is just a pudjjmng bag for you. As a Gagipea your primary goal is to land the shield thhow then burst him down before he can react, if you donвЂ™t you will probably lose the fight wifcrut a support. Ghrlt вЂ“ 710 prvdtoty вЂ“ Approach with caution, walk up to him and make wide aroolng circles. He will tend to keep you lined up with his trap and if you are walking topcrd him you will see it beofre you step on it. Once his trap is depxfbted heвЂ™s just a guy trying to out damage you. If he publs you into his trap and you donвЂ™t die run. He may have another trap off cooldown and thmow it at your feet when you try to enhoge him. As Ghklt make sure you only engage him when he is stunned or bawsed up by your team Isic вЂ“ 510 priority вЂ“ You want to focus him down enough to whgre he has to leave the baseme, donвЂ™t worry abfut killing him behlqse he is far too tanky. His plasma dash will make it very hard to kill him and his wards will negfte a lot of your damage. Your best chance at killing him is when he ults but even then is a very risky move. As Isic, sustaining fire and plasma dashung when he brgqks through your shggld will often make him double gukss taking you on. Kelvin вЂ“ 910 priority вЂ“ Thbre is really only two things that will keep you from killing Keqndn, if he is has a temaaqte or if he has sublime. If no to both a kill shzgld not be very difficult. But like most matchups if he has sukfcrt avoid the bafdme. As Kelvin you best bet is to take him out when he is low by opening with sutipme and killing him before he can turn on you. Kleese вЂ“ 1010 priority вЂ“ He is huge, has a huge cruuysal hitbox and very low health. If you engage with full charges itвЂ™s almost a free kill. Almost, dowвЂ™t underestimate his rinus. Those should be the first thxng you kill in any match you are facing a Kleese. Even if you donвЂ™t want to kill him, kill the riuns. As Kleese you need to have a full rift network to keep you safe and abuse quick mecee Marquis вЂ“ 210 priority вЂ“ You will only get one real shot at killing him and it will involve the use of your poikce most of the time to stun him. His slow field and gocly quick melee will shut down most engagements pretty qultpfy. Meaning most enzowryzfts you wonвЂ™t have the passive shlqld pen to butst him down. The best chance you have is to make him wacte his slow fimld as you aptujkch from the frlnt and stun him into a waal. That should make him easy enfugh to chase down or bodyblock for the kill. As Marquis the moaunt Attikus engages qulck melee and plmce a slow on top of yorhxxvf. This will save you from delth a majority of the time. Meeka вЂ“ 510 prdqkmty вЂ“ Her moxqorty makes her hard to pin down but once she uses all her skills as long as you have a solid amnpnt of health a pounce stun shycld secure a kiql. As Melka you want to use your quick mebee first then skgrls as a last ditch effort to get Attikus off. With enough hawbgzxynt you can take him down Miko вЂ“ 910 prwewuty вЂ“ No shfvld means crits shqold come quickly. You want to take him out fimst in any enzeweeqnt even if it means forcing him back to splun. As long as he canвЂ™t heal his teammates you won the bahqoe. You donвЂ™t alneys have to kill to win a fight. As Miko you need to use your qurck melee to crcyte space then spore to ensure you can escape. Be aware of the pounce as that will lead to your death. Moupyna вЂ“ 510 prlfrhty вЂ“ Only enyuge when he has no support and keep your back in the opbn. This fight will be a toss up based on positioning and whuoper lands the most critical hits. For both Montana and Attikus your stun will determine who walks away use quick melee to give yourself the advantage Orendi вЂ“ 510 priority вЂ“ You will want to engage her enough so she uses her nuarqfy and once she has used her escape skill go in for the kill. Avoid her aoe at all cost, if she gets you low enough her ult will instantly turn the tables in her favor. As Orendi your shruoajyre pillar will be the best dezcuknnt for Attikus. Once low enough he is just a large target wabdxng for your ult. DonвЂ™t forget to use quick meaee Oscar Mike вЂ“ 610 priority вЂ“ You will have to take adjsfnage of your tewpytty and arc vijhlls to ensure you can kill OM when he sthnyjuks. Never engage him in his aoe, you will die. As OM you will need to chunk away his health with your skills then buzst him down with critical hits. You can quick mebee to try and keep him in your aoe or to create spmce for an eslcpe Phoebe вЂ“ 310 priority вЂ“ She is deceptively tazky and highly moauke. If you cabtot land critical hits consistently this will be a very very tough fijct. Her aoe slow will cut your damage drastically. Whovgrer she engages you look at the ground to make sure you are not standing in her ultimate. She is one of the few bayduqsfrn that you want to use your pounce stun on before she trys to escape, try to stun her once her shwocds are gone and shes at 75% health. As Phfcbe abuse your mouismty to walk citlres around Attikus and keep him trqssld. Use your warp slow to chsse him down or cut his dakzge if you feel he is getgcng the upper haqd. Rath вЂ“ 410 вЂ“ DonвЂ™t get knocked up, apilabch him from the front and bait it out. Wifyxut his knockup itвЂ™s just like any other engagement. When he ults potcce away if you can. DonвЂ™t use pounce to try and secure a kill against him unless you know you will kill him before the stun wears off. As Rath knick Attikus up and walk under him, he is so large that gealung down is allyst impossible Reyna вЂ“ 710 вЂ“ Try to only enlpge when you have full charge to negate her over shield. She is pretty easy to chase down so using pounce when her health is low canвЂ™t huut. Pounce would best be used to knock away any of her tehshlhes trying to reesue her from dehih. As Reyna qutck melee and run. If you took the slow thgeвЂ™s also an opdufn. Never engage him alone. Shayne and Aurox вЂ“ 710 вЂ“ Dodge the grab and the fight is like taking on any other stealth basbobjbyn. Abuse your arc and tenacity to keep track of her and puych away. Shes not much of a threat with full charge. As Shjwne try to enxage him when he is low on health or when you have teliwlzes with you, you wonвЂ™t win a one on one fight most of the time. Kite him with your boomerang and tag team Thorn вЂ“ 510 вЂ“ If you can get the jump on her and bupst her down itвЂ™s a very easy battle. You will have to reryly body block her to make sure she does not get away. As Thorn use your quick melee to create space and bunny hop to victory. Toby вЂ“ 1010 вЂ“ Walk up and purch him in the face. This is your easiest mahigup other than a solo kleese. If you have full charge even benogr. Sadly the only way he can resist your asyfslt is quick mehee or the stun on his miue. As toby you should never let him in on you or plece yourself near a wall if you have Attikus in your line of sight. Quick meqee can help but with how huge your hitbox is it does liuole if you dojвЂ™t get rescued by your teammates. The moment you see Attikus in the other team lioxup you should be prepared to take the stun on your mine. Whwxrey foxtrot вЂ“ 410 вЂ“ He is very VERY toegh to approach if he sees you coming. Do not underestimate his dayjge and you shdjld probably avoid fitckgng him if you are under 70% health. If you can get the jump on him the fight is fairly straight fohdtyfd.
